Who says herbs aren’t strong enough? Using Byron White Formulas for Lyme & CFS/ME

What are they?

Byron White is a herbalist and naturopath who has spent 37 years researching alternative treatments for a range of chronic conditions. Along the way he he cured himself of late stage Lyme disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and started manufacturing his own formulas for the world at large. Essentially the formulas are very powerful concoctions of herbs suspended in organic grape alcohol that designed to be taken orally as drops. They are organic, hand made and sourced from wild crafted herbs.

If this info-graphic is too be believed drinking each type of Byron White Formula will have you as right as rain in no time. While drinking just two types of formula will leave you feeling Physical, Emotional and Spiritual. What about feeling Mental?

There are over 25 formulas in the range under the categories Immune Support, Detox Support and Restorative Support. Some of the most popular include:

  • A-L Complex for Borrelia
  • A-Bart for bartonella,
  • A-Bab for babesia
  • A-Inflam for inflammation.
  • Detox 1 & 2

Why use them?

At first it is easy to assume that the formulas are simply a very potent form of natural antimicrobial. A Herbal Hammer if you will.  However Byron describes the healing mechanism as process of uncovering a series of layers that the body needs to remove before it can heal. He says has utilised a form of energetic testing called BioResonance in order to fine tune the combination of herbs.

What is interesting is the popularity of the formulas with a number of well known LLMD’S/ND’s such as Richard Horowitz, Ann Corson and Wayne Anderson.. They are often being prescribed in combination with or as a replacement for antibiotics. This trend seems to reflect the fact that ann integrated treatment approach including plant medicine appears critical in overcoming chronic conditions such as Lyme disease and CFS/ME. It’s also worth noting that in the right hands the formulas can be also be used as diagnostic tools.

My Experience (27/7/13)

I’m still a Byron White virgin in that his potent drops of herbal wonder juice have yet to pass my lips. I am however already a bit of a groupie and have been getting increasingly excited by the prospects of giving his formulas a whirl. Part of this enthusiasm can most likely be explained the old ‘this will be the one’ mentality which seems to creep in after living a long time with a chronic condition.

Listening to the man speak on his teleconferences left a positive impression with me. He comes across as smart, kind and matter of fact. Someone that’s working hard to alleviate others suffering, and this always goes down well in my books. He is however selling a product and I find it’s important I don’t get too carried away with clever marketing when making supplement choices. At the end of the day the proof will be in the Byron White Pudding (though I doubt I’ll be making too many of those, as word on the street is that the formulas taste like most potent herbal medicine…gross.)

Tips & Ideas

  • Go slow. Many patients report a very strong reaction the formulas.
  • If you are keen to start using the formula you will need to find a practitioner trained in their use. Due to their potency they are not directly available to the public.
  • Be warned. From what I gather the price tag reflect all the hard work that goes into making the formulas so you may have to bust open the piggy bank.
  • There are other similar product ranges worth exploring from Nutrimedix and Beyond Balance.

I have been taking Detox 2, A-P, Envi-Rad Detox for over 6 months for numbness and tingling on face but I have not had much improvement ,
I am wasting my time & money? If these products are beneficial to the health, how long do I have to keep taking them?

Hey Maria sorry for the late reply, I haven’t taken the Byron herbs yet myself so I can’t really offer to much advice. 6 months is a pretty good time for a trial, maybe its time for a different approach?

Hi there, I’ve been on A-Land A-Bart for 9 months. Titrated up a drop every 3 days only backed had to back off a couple of times so my brain wouldn’t pop.

Once I reached full dose (40 drops/day) I remained taking the full dose for the next 4 months. That was yesterday and If it’s not mental, I swear I had a bad herx response the day before my Byron White formula max.

On top of that I am not the most optimistic guy but I feel pretty dang good today. I’m gonna continue taking the rest of A-L bottle and then check in with my neurologist in a month or so.

Also I’ve made some dietary changes: gluten/dairy free, organic/ naturally raised/cultivated food, almost no sugar addage, 2 drinks a week, little to no processed carbohydrates, blueberries, vegetables, raw vegetables, curries/spices, daily super food shakes, vit c,d, magnesium, BOLOUKE, co. Enz. Q10. Light exercise has helped me. Good luck- Eric

Hi Possibly too late in commenting on this post but I was taking the NT-Detox, then went on to A-L complex,A-Bart and A-Bab. I’m up to 3 A-L, 5 A-Bart, and 3-A-Bab per day. Everyone is different. I know someone how can only tske one A-L a day.

I am taking them 15 minutes apart still wondering myself if I can have them all together. I have had no issues only with the Detox drops so had to stop them.

My children had just been diagnosed with Lyme. they are all bellow 10. I am trying to establish which treatment is best for them and was told by an aussie Naturapath working in the Us on lyme (over 400 cases) that these drops are the best for kids to start with.. Thought they weren’t doing aanything for me until I increased the A-L to 4 yesterday and due to a bad night had to revert back to 3. I would love to hear from others on these drops to find out how well they think they work.

Hey Elissa, hope the treatment for you and the kids is going well. Let’s hope some others chime in with their experience.

Elissa – I have a 18 month old boy that has tested positive for Lyme. No symptoms yet, but doc said to start him on A-L and work him up to 5 drops a day. Did your kids feel worse after starting A-L. I am worried that he will Herx and since he is so little there is not way to find out how he is dealing with the side effects.
