Reiki ~ Treatments

Ps: Not my tummy...

What is it? Reiki is a form of Energy healing practised all over the world. It originated last century through the research of Dr Usui a Japanese healer. Though criticised by the Western medical community as being ‘all in the mind’ it remains a hugely popular form of therapy.

Why do it? To hasten your healing process and provide relaxation. Based on the idea that there are subtle energy fields in and around the body, Reiki functions on the basis that one person can transmit healing (unconditional love) energy to another. Rebalancing your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects

My Experience: I have had numerous Reiki sessions over the last few years with varying levels of positive response. I believe when conducted properly it can be a very powerful healing modality, particularly at dealing with emotional blockages. After a good session I feel light, balanced, relaxed and capable of dealing with anything. It is definitely a deep and subtle process and I find the benefits are felt in weeks following.

How often? As and when you see fit. I have found a very sincere and loving Reiki healer who I visit about once a month and pay anywhere between $50 and $100 dollars depending on how I feel.

    Hi,

Actually Dr. Usui rediscovered ReiKi and gave it this name. ReiKi had been in practice by the Indians, Chineese, and the Egyptians thousands of years ago.

It’s also natural. When you feel pain anywhere in your body the first reaction is to put your hands on the affected area and it immediately starts to feel better, even a little. With the attunement and the proper training you can channel universal life energy through your hand to the affected area to help it heal itself.
